This 1920s French oil painting is a moody, expressive floral still life. It features a bouquet of vibrant red, orange, and deep purple flowers, likely anemones, arranged in a floral white and blue ceramic vase. To the right of the vase, there is a small object, a fan, which adds a subtle, modern "still life" element common in French art of that period. It is housed in a thick, ornate Montparnasse-style frame with a distressed, off-white finish and carved geometric patterns, which was specifically popular for French paintings in the 1920s and 30s.
