    A superb quality watercolour by the well listed Scottish artist James Gray who was active from c1917 to 1947 (Belgian 1879-1957)

    The painting is in excellent condition and is unframed.

    James Gray d. 1947 RSW 1936

    A flower painter who worked in Edinburgh, he was a painter of flowers and taught at Edinburgh College Of Art. Active 1917-1947 Exhibited RSA, RSW and RA.His work is often free and effective, he also painted landscapes in watercolour. He was Head of Art Department Moray House. His wife Jean Lyal Christie was also a painter.
