An Early T. Hessin & Co shop counter display advertising case, made from pine, with 3 pull out drawers at the back set in a gold inlayed glass case, made for T. Hessin & Co's Birmingham, with the wording Magnetic Series of Pens, Sold in 6d & 1 Cross Boxes. C1901
T.Hessin & Co Birmingham was established in 1870 and saw the birth of another pen company looking to capitalise on the success of Birminghams pen trade. Andrew Charles formed T. Hessin & Co to make high quality nibs.
This superb display box remains in original condition, with all the glass and drawers still intact, a lovely example of early advertising.
