    About this item

    A rare and very large matchbox dating to approximately the 1920s, and intended as a shop advertising piece. It was made to advertise 'The Regular Safety Match' made by Joseph Franses & Co Ltd. It is just a larger size version of a normal size matchbox with label to the top, slide inner and striking panels to the sides. It contains about 40 very long original matches. 

    Condition: Fair with some wear and soiling.
