An interesting and decorative Door from a French Chateau with one side decoratively panelled and the other with an original printed and hand painted lithographic scene of a a bridge/aqueduct with lighthouse above a river weir.
'Papier Peint' was a decorative artistic form used from the 17th to 19th centuries in France, often in interiors similar to Trompe L'Oeil
Measures 83 inches high x 34 wide. In good condition with imperfections from its age- sturdy but with very small amount of wear to the paper print. The door in old olive paint on the reverse side, with door handle missing.
