About this item
A nineteenth century, French copper, shallow stockpot or casserole. This piece is marked, to the lid, with a large letter 'X' and the number '24'. The number 24 relates to the internal diameter of the pan. It is well made, from a substantial gauge of copper. It has attractive, brass handles, which are the typical French shape, and it dates from c.1890. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned, so that it can be used.
