Edwin Penny 1930-2016
'Blackbird'
Edwin was born in Bristol and studied art at Bath Scool of Art and the Royal West of England Academy'
Penny worked initially as an Engraver before departing to Hong Kong to study Phylosophy of Far Eastern Composition
under a Chinese Master. His work is a clever and concise blend of Eastern restraint with delicate colouring combined with
a traditional British palette a la Archibald Thorburn.
