An very attractive majolica or faience tin-glazed earthenware bowl, charger or wall plate. Polychrome decoration with a stencilled pattern of roses.
This piece is typical of Portuguese faience and is of a known pattern generally attributed to the potteries of Fervença (though it may also have originated in Coimbra).
In good condition an attractive fine, age-related craquelure over the surface. Integral holes to the footrim allowing a wire loop for wall suspension.
