    About this item

A Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip biscuit barrel or cookie jar. This is marked “WEDGWOOD ETRURIA ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1895. This mark was only used for about five years around this period. It is also impressed with a letter ‘A’. The barrel is decorated with a continuous band of classical maidens, trees and foliage. To the lid, which has an acorn shaped finial, is a wide band of oak leaves and acorns. All of the reliefs are good quality and the dip colour is a good, rich, shade of blue. Both parts are in good condition but there is heavy staining to the interior of the barrel.

    Dimensions: Diameter 14cm. Height 20cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £30. Most of Western Europe add £15
