About this item
A dark blue, jasper dip biscuit barrel, or cookie jar, with a silver plated lid and mount. This piece is marked 'WEDGWOOD' and it also has an impressed letter 'P'. It dates from c.1880. The lid is marked 'EPNS'. The biscuit barrel is decorated with a continuous band of classical maidens bearing offerings. All of the reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a very good, rich shade of blue. It is in excellent condition.
