About this item
A graduated set of three, Wedgwood, pale blue jasper dip jugs. Each jug is marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and they date from c.1900. They are also impressed with numbers, which would be a batch number. The larger has an impressed “24”, the mid size has an impressed “36” and the smallest has an impressed “48”. Each jug is decorated, in white relief, with a band of classical figures, trees and foliage. The reliefs on the two smaller jugs are the same but the larger one has different subjects. To the rims are border of grapes and vines. All of the reliefs are good quality and all three jugs are in very good condition. There is just a little staining to the bases of the two larger jugs.
Dimensions: Largest: Height 16.4cm. Width 12.5cm. Diameter 9.7cm. Mid size: Height 12cm. Width 9.5cm. Diameter 7.5cm. Smallest: Height 9.5cm. Width 8.5cm. Diameter 6.5cm.
