About this item
A lovely quality, early 19th century, Wedgwood creamware jelly mould. This is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it is also impressed with the pattern number ‘333’. It is moulded with a cockerel in a farmyard setting and this is surrounded by a border of acanthus leaves. The moulding of the design is exceptionally well detailed and the mould dates from c.1820. It has the typical deep, applied foot rim of this period. There are a number of chips to the foot rim but none of them affect the remainder of the mould which is in very good condition. This can all be seen in the images.
