About this item
A small, Wedgwood, dark blue, jasper dip cream jug. This piece is marked ‘WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND’ and it dates from c.1920. It is also marked with a number ’48’, which would be a batch number, and two separate letters, an ‘E’ and an ‘X’. It is decorated, in relief, with a band of classical figure offering sacrifices. To the rim is a border of grapes and vines. The reliefs are all good quality and the jasper dip is a rich shade of blue. It is in excellent condition.
