About this item
An attractive, Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip, biscuit barrel with silver plated mounts and lid. This is impressed “WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1860. It is quite unusual as it is decorated with scenes depicting horsemen, in oval cartouches, rather than the usual classical figures. On the sides are musical instruments and weapons. Above this is a border of grapes and vines. All of the reliefs are very good quality.
It is in excellent condition.
