About this item
A very pretty, Wedgwood biscuit barrel with a silver plated mount and lid. This is one of Wedgwood’s better designs of biscuit barrel as it is nicely shaped and has quite fine reliefs which work well on this shape. The reliefs show five different classical subjects which are standing beneath garlands of flowers which hang from ram’s heads. To the shoulder is a bad of acanthus. All of the reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a good, rich shade of blue. The base of the piece is marked ‘WEDGWOOD ENGLAND’ and it dates from c.1900.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £25. Western Europe add £10.
