About this item
A Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip butter dish and cover. This is marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1900. It is also impressed with a number ‘4’. The dish, which has an integral base, has a border of grapes and vines and the sides of the dish are decorated with a three different classical subjects set between trees. All of the reliefs are very good quality and the jasper dip is a good, rich shade of blue.
Both the dish and cover are in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Diameter of base 16.2cm. Overall height 9cm.
