About this item
A lovely quality, dark blue jasperware plaque depicting a classical maiden leaning on a pillar. This is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1840. The relief moulding is well detailed with a little translucency. The plaque is mounted in an attractive wooden frame and there is a gilt metal inner surround. The plaque is in excellent condition as is the frame.
Dimensions of plaque: Height 15.8cm. Width 11cm. Overall size with frame: Height 29.3cm. Width 23cm. Depth 2.2cm.
