About this item
A very unusual, Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip egg cup set on stand. This comprises four blue jasper egg cups, a silver plated stand and a set of four sterling silver spoons. Each egg cup is impressed “WEDGWOOD” and they are decorated, in relief, with classical figures. They date from c.1900.
They have holes in the base which enable them to sit onto the supports on the stand. One egg cup has a small chip to the foot but the other three and in very good condition. There is just a little staining, from use. The plated stand is marked “WALKER & HALL SHEFFIELD ENGLAND” and the spoons are marked “925 STERLING”. One of the original plated spoons was missing from the set so we replaced them with this silver set as it is much nicer to eat from silver. The stand and spoons are all in excellent condition.
Dimensions overall: Diameter of stand 16cm. Height 19.5cm.
