About this item
A Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip tea plate. This is marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. It is also impressed with a number ‘6’, which relates to its’ size in inches, and a letter ‘Z’. The border of the plate is decorated, in white relief, with six different classical subjects which all include cherubs or putti, and these are divided by anthemion. To the centre is a relief depicting the Three Graces. The reliefs are all good quality and the jasper dip is a rich shade of blue. The plate is in excellent condition.
