About this item
A super quality, 19th century, Wedgwood, black and white jasper dip, cabinet plate. This plate is marked “WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1850. It is also stamped with the letter ‘A’ and the number ’10’, which relates to its’ diameter in inches. It is sprig moulded with a central motif depicting Venus driving a chariot. This is surrounded by a border of grapes and vines and there is a further band of grapes and vines to the rim. All of the reliefs are very good quality and the piece is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 25.2cm. Depth 3.6cm.
