    Wedgwood, black jasper jardiniere

    Item details

    A Wedgwood, black and white jasper dip jardiniere standing on three ball feet. This is marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and there is also an impressed workman’s mark. It dates from c.1900. It is decorated, in relief, with a continuous band of classical maidens offering sacrifices. To the rim is a narrow border of convolvulus or morning glory. 

    It is in excellent condition but there is slight staining to the interior and underside of the base, from use.
