About this item
A fabulous pair of Wedgwood, three colour, jasper dip Trophy vases. These are marked “WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and they date from c.1900. They also have an impressed mark in the shape of a radiating sun which would be a workman’s mark. The shape and design of vase was known as a Trophy vase due to the reliefs on the necks of the vases which always comprised of hanging musical and military trophies. These vases are an unusual colour combination with central bands of lilac with bands of green to the necks and feet. Each one is decorated, in white relief, with four of the Muses and there are various foliate borders. All of the reliefs are very good quality and both vases are in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 21cm. Diameter 9.8cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K., shipping to the U.S.A. and most of Western Europe.
