    About this item

An interesting steel ice or sugar cleaver in the shape of a horse. This is French and it dates from c.1900. It is quite primitively shaped showing the horses head, with a copper rivet as an eye, shoulders, back and reins but there is no further cutting to the blade. The handle is barrel shaped, made from banded fibre block, and has brass ends. This is quite unusual. There is slight pitting to the blade, consistent with age and use but other than that the piece is in excellent condition.

Dimensions: Length 29cm. Height 12cm. Diameter of handle 3.2cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
