About this item
A very unusual Wedgwood biscuit barrel. This is marked to the base with a Portland Vase and “WEDGWOOD” in a red transfer print. It is also marked with a pattern number “Z378” in olive green enamel script. The bone china body is decorated with an oriental inspired, floral design in iron red enamel and gilt. The silver plated mounts are elaborately decorated with bands of ivy and they are finely worked. The lid has an engraved floral design and a nicely shaped bone finial. The overall design is very pleasing and we have never seen this pattern in this form before. It dates from c.1870 and is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 14cm. Height to top of finial 16.2cm. Height to top of handle when in upright position 23.5cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £25. Most of Western Europe add £10.
