About this item
A set of three, very unusual, Wedgwood ironstone dishes. Originally these would have been the serving dishes from a dessert service. Each one has a printed mark which reads “WEDGWOOD’S STONE CHINA” and one has a pattern number “N.126” in turquoise script. This mark was used between 1827 and 1861 and Wedgwood’s stone china is rare. These date from c.1835. They are decorated with a transfer printed chinoiserie scene which is coloured in vibrant shades of blue, turquoise iron red and gilt.
The larger dish measures 29cm long by 20cm. wide by 4cm. deep. The pair of smaller dishes each measure 24cm. long by 17.5cm wide by 3.5cm. deep.
One of the smaller dishes has a small chip to the reverse but the other two are in perfect condition.
