About this item
A super, Wedgwood majolica dessert service. Each piece is well marked with “WEDGWOOD” and an impressed three letter date code “FOT”. This dates the service to 1865. They are also marked with a registered design Kite mark which dates the registration of the design to 1864. The service comprises one tall comport and six plates, each piece having and arcaded border and being covered in green, brown and yellow majolica glazes. The comport has a beautifully moulded stand featuring ram’s heads and classical scrolls and foliage. All seven pieces are in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Comport: Diameter 22.5cm Height 15.5cm. Plates: Diameter 21.3cm. Depth 2.2cm.
