    About this item

A fabulous set of four Wedgwood tiles depicting courses of a meal. Each one is transfer printed in blue and they are marked to the reverse “JOSIAH WEDGWOOD & SONS ETRURIA”.  They date from c.1880. Each one is titled, and also has a motto. We have :

“FISH. MAY GOOD DIGESTION WAIT ON APPETITE”,

“MUTTON. EAT THY FOOD WITH A THANKFUL HEART”,

“VENISON. EAT TO LIVE NOT LIVE TO EAT” and

“PASTRY. A LITTLE PUDDING ADDS TO THE REPAST”.

This is a delightful series and we have never come across them before.

Generally they are in very good condition but Pastry does have two very tiny chips to the rim.

Dimensions: Each tile is 15.3cm square by 1cm. deep.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
