About this item
A super quality, 19th century, French copper fish kettle or poacher. This is quite an unusual form, with a lid which sits over the sides of the pan rather than sitting into the top. It is made from an exceptionally heavy gauge of copper and has very attractively shaped brass handles. Both the pan and lid are engraved with “H*D” and these would be the initials of a previous owner. It is in excellent condition and it dates from c.1860. It is complete with drainer and all parts have been re-tinned so that it can be used.
