    About this item

    A very fine George III silver wine funnel. Made in London in 1785 by John Cafe. It comprises of three pieces, the funnel neck, the strainer body and the retaining ring to hold the muslin in place. Each piece is hallmarked and the body has a full set of hallmarks. Interestingly the duty mark in the hallmarks is incuse which is extremely rare. Generally it is in very good condition with no damage or repairs and a very useable piece of Georgian silver.
