    About this item

An 18th century gingerbread mould. This is carved, in oak, with circular biscuit shapes to one side and a large rectangular shape to the other.  It is possibly Dutch and dates from c.1760.  The carvings are quite deep but crude. In the early recipes for gingerbread it was not baked, like it is today, but it was boiled and then poured into the moulds to set.

    Dimensions: Length 24cm. Width 13.4cm. Depth 2.2cm.

Condition: There is a split running the length of the mould. In order to stabilise this extra pieces of wood have been let into the ends.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £15. Most of Western Europe add £8.
