    About this item

    A wooden sugar mould carved with two unusual sprigs of flowers and foliage. The carving in this mould is exceptionally well detailed and it is carved in a boxwood. It is English, it dates from c.1820 and it is in excellent condition. The wood has a lovely rich patina. Moulds of this type were used for both fancy sugar work and also for gesso. 

    Dimensions: Length 34.2cm. Width 6.5cm. Depth 2.7cm.
