    About this item

A two part, beechwood butter mould carved with a wheatsheaf. This is English and dates from c.1820. The two sides would be filled with butter, then pegged together and the result would be a three dimensional piece of butter in the shape of a wheatsheaf. The carving is beautifully detailed and the wood has a lovely, rich patina. There are a few wood worm holes to both sides but these have been treated so they are no longer active. Other than this it is in good condition.

    Dimensions: Height 8.8cm. Width 7.3cm. Depth 4.5cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £15.  Most of Western Europe add £8.
