    About this item

This is a superb large late 19th / early 20th Century carved and gilded mirror in the Chippendale Rococo style wonderfully carved with 'S' & 'C' scrolls and topped off with a large Cartouche of shell form. The carving is crisp and very well executed. There are no missing pieces and the gilding is in very good order.

The mirror is in very good condition with a deep bevelled edge.

The gesso is all stable and the burnished gold is high in lustre. Carved from mahogany ..... With all back boards in place.
