FS0315 ELEGANT RECLAIMED CAST IRON FIRE SURROUND WOOD BURNER SURROUND

A petite, reclaimed, cast iron fire surround likely to date to the early 20th Century. The fire surround has a simple and elegant design with Gothic style chamfer detail on the legs and the bottom edge of the crossbar. The mantel has rounded front corners. The iron has been blacked and polished. The surround is in good antique condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected of reclaimed items. The iron has some casting marks and pitting and therefore the iron has some texture in places. There are some small knocks. The back of the surround has surface rust and some small areas to the inside of the legs. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround would be ideal for pairing with a wood burner or a fire basket and its simple and elegant appearance would suit many interiors.
