Reclaimed Fireplaces & Accessories
A reclaimed fireplace is often the quickest way to return character to a room, and salvaged examples are usually better made than modern reproductions. Antiques Boutique brings together complete fire surrounds and inserts alongside fireside accessories, from fire baskets, dogs and irons to coal buckets, fenders and fire screens.
Listings are grouped under cast iron inserts, cast iron surrounds, marble surrounds, slate surrounds, stone surrounds, wooden surrounds, hob grates, combination grates, fenders and stoves and ranges. Opening sizes and hearth depths should always be checked against the chimney breast, and buyers are advised to have any installation carried out by a competent fitter. The beginner’s guide to architectural salvage and reclamation covers what to look for when buying salvage.
